Generally no, however it does depend on the medication you are currently on. The main reason is that while in Basic Combat Training you are not allowed/authorized to be currently requiring a daily supplement of medications. The main medications would be for ADD/ADHD, Mental disorders or mood enhancers (bipolar, anxiety, depression etc...), Diabetes's, blood thinner's, heart burn, head ache (prescription, not over the counter). Most over the counter medications you would take daily or weekly or just when needed are not going to be an issue. Just make sure you get with you Doctor and request all you medical documents and the reasoning why the doctor placed you on the medications.

As of right now, you can not enlist in the Army with Autism, it can create significant issue while in basic training or in a combat environment.
