To take a screenshot, press Printscreen on your keyboard. If your keyboard does not have one, you can find screenshot taking software on a search engine.
If you are using Windows 7, go here
C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires II\Screenshots
Click the "print screen" button to save a screenshot. The pictures should be saved in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age Of Empires 2\Screenshots, or whatever other folder you installed the game in.
the simplest way is pressing the print screen button (some computers have it as prntscrn) then when you've finished and close the game open up paint and press Ctrl+V. Then press Ctrl+S to save. There's also a simple yet free solution in screenshot.net.
