NO! Do not do that. Never refreeze any poultry. Once it thaws, it will pick up bacteria. I know there will be some that disagree with this, and say you can do it if handled properly, but personally I would never do it. If incorrect, I would rather err on the side of caution.

room temperature is 22 degrees so if you do not want to cook it first to help defrost it, after its out of the freezer it should take around 4-5 hours depending on what temperature your room is, if you are trying to make the process quicker never run it under hot water as help bacteria spread!

Thawed turkey should only sit out at long as it takes for you to prep it for cooking. Hopefully, that is under one hour.
