SIM cards are transferable in some phones, check. The phone has to take a sim card and be activated. Check with the company as I have been told they do, you have to get a new sim card. perhaps the previous answer was not accurate

∙ 15y agoNo you can't, T-Mobile uses GSM technology (with sim cards) whereas Sprint uses the CDMA technology (no sim)

∙ 11y agoThe sprint phone needs to be unlocked from its original network. Once a handset has been unlocked, it will accept SIM cards from other providers.

I am not sure if a SIM for a CDSM phone will work in a GSM phone or vice versa, but I had SPRINT phones for my entire family (4 lines) and every one took a SIM card. I have yet to purchase a phone (unlocked or any plan) that does not use a SIM card.
