Yes you can, if the service person will reprogram the prepaid phone to your plan. Some will and others will say it can not be done. I have a freedom alltel prepaid changed to my very old 9.99 per month service plan.

If I had an contract plan with alltel and i cancelled the contract can i use the phone as a prepaid phone
Basically, there are a couple of ways prepaid cell phone plans work. You can buy minutes that you use over a period of time. Many times these minutes will be good anywhere from 30 days, all the way up to a year. Many providers will extend your minutes when you add another prepaid cell phone card. The other way, is having a regular plan that you pay for before the month starts. This is also known as pay as you go cell phone service. With either of these options you typically have to purchase a phone, but you are not tied to a provider long term.
It depends on the type of phone and service plan you have. If your service plan allows you to get text to your email or copies of your text you can retrieve them.
If your provider lets you get online at all, they'll probably charge you airtime. Cingular did this before i got an internet plan. If you use it a lot, get a plan. It'll be much cheaper.
Most cell phone power inlets are either a USB Mini-B or Micro-B connector, and in those cases you can purchase a cable that connects directly from the computer's USB connector to the phone. Dollar store cables should be quite good enough; you don't need to buy a special cable from the phone store or electronics store. If your phone uses a small, round connector, you may have to buy a special USB to power adapter from the people who sold you your plan.
