Can you use regular head phones in the tanning bed?
In Tanning Beds
To be honest, I have no idea. Talk to your doctor and see what they say. They know you more than I.
Yes, using your camera phone in the tanning bed can ruin the cameraand the phone itself. The ultraviolet light is bad for both thelens and the phone.
Well you usually dress how you want to (Naked or a bathing suit on). next put on some tanning lotion, usually the kinds for indoor tanning beds, Next get into the bed. Sometimes they just start automatically. Or you have to push the start button. After you are all done with tanning, The bed should s…hut off automatcally. The get out and get dressed. (MORE)
The minimum time is 30 minutes, If you have used a bronzer you will want to wait 1-2 hours so the bronzer has the full time to develop on your skin. Otherwise you risk washing the bronzer off too soon and not getting the results that you wanted.
I asked the Owner of the tanning salon I go too. And she told me i could use a little bit of tanning oil, but to not drench myself in it. So if you do maybe just put it on the top of your body because that part doesnt even touch the glass, and the bottom of your body does so it's already getting mor…e exposure. Make sure you wipe down the best really good. Because, if it's all oily they may be even more suspicious about what you put on, and then you leave it all greasy.. they may not be too happy. (MORE)
Some tanning salons require users to be of legal age - 18 and over - or have a parent/guardian permission if the user is underage - younger than 18. The permission is requested upon first use and the parent/guardian is to sign the tanning bed use agreement at that time. Some tanning salons do not… have this requirement, however many will recommend the user to at least be a teenager - 11-13 and over - before laying. Check with your local salons to see what their requests are on this subject. Every tanning salon operates differently in different areas, countries, and states - depending upon policy. Irrespective of your legal right to use tanning beds, worldwide medical opinion is that they damage skin, thereby increasing the risk of skin cancer and of premature skin aging. That is too heavy a price to pay for the Golden-Glow look born of vanity. In some sections of the U.S.A., dermatologists could fill their entire office schedule treating only patients who have skin damage, pre-cancer, and cancer as a result of exposure to sunlight and UV rays. Medical groups in the U.S.A. have been urging regulation or elimination of tanning beds, but the tanning bed companies have been arguing that tanning is not only harmless but is, in fact, beneficial. Ironically, the same battle went on over cigarettes and smoking. Every state has different laws. In CA if you are under 18, you need a parent or guarding to sign the client profile UV tanning form. If you are under 14, you are not allowed to use UV tanning beds. (MORE)
you should never get a rash! i recommend seeing a doctor and then find a new tanning company.. ^untrue. A rash after tanning can be due to several different factors. The most likely being heat flush, when you lay down for too long under the UV lamps, your skin can get itchy. I would try moving arou…nd a little more on the bed, it could also be due to not using a lotion, or your skin being to dry. (MORE)
the fastest way is to just simply lay out a lot!!! this can be dangerous, but if you really want your tan you got to work for it. make sure you always use sun block because with all the laying out you'll burn more quickly over time!!!!. Swim: either at home or go to the beach with friends.
Actually i have. It makes you tan faster but it does burn you a little more the first time you do it:)
No. Your skin and muscles will prevent any harm to the unborn baby. Go to your local library to find books on the dos and donts while pregnant. This will be a great help to you.
You can. I work in a tanning salon and people ask this all the time. The UV light doesn't do anything to hurt your iPod, just make sure it doesnt get too hot. Set it on a towel or on the floor, out of the bed.
cover it with construction paper shaped likle the tattoo but make shore you check on it every one in a while
(not to freak you out) But a tanning bed looks something like a coffin because of the top that closes over you. You are not completely closed in; it's very simple to get out of. The bottom part of the bed where you lie on and the top of the bed is covered with UV lights. You lie in the bed, close it… over, and wait till your time is up. Its sole purpose is to make you tan faster than you would if you were in the sun. Some people go if they're allergic to the sun. (MORE)
If you put accelerator on, you should wait about a few hours. When I go tanning, I take a shower that morning, go tan sometime during the day, and wait to shower the next morning.
Tanning accelerators DO help quicken the tanning process. Dry skin will reflect the UV rays that make you tan. By using the accelerator, the UV rays get absrbed into the skin, making you tan faster. TANNING WITHOUT LOTIONS IN A TANNING BED IS A WASTE OF TANNING TIME AND MONEY!
The effects of regular suntan lotion on a tanning bed are harmful. The acrylic hoods are porous and expand when the bulbs heat up.
Your tan will take about 24 hours to develop once you leave the tanning bed, so really it wouldn't be good for your skin to tan indoors then go tan outdoors until after the 24 hours it takes your tan to develop. I have noticed though that if you are burned from a tanning bed, it shows up within 5… hours and heals itself (as long as it isn't severe) within 20 hours of when you leave a tanning bed. So if you are set on going outside, wait at least 5 hours to be sure you haven't been burned from indoor tanning. (MORE)
no! I tanned while taking Serequel and had some darkening of the skin on my upper lip.So I would not recommend it
Yes, you can use bronzing lotion for tanning beds in the actual sun. But it might be more helpful to go buy tanning oil or bronzing oil that you would normally use for just natural outdoor tanning.
Tanning oils are usually prohibited in tanning beds because they ruin the acrylics. However, if youre standing, you should be able to use it, however I'd ask the salon associate beforehand. Oils tend to leave big messes behind so be sure to wipe down the floor when you get out so no one slips
have you found out? I've been taking predinose and 6mp and tanned and I was just fine. Then I starting getting remicade treatments and tanned and I was so itchy all over for like two days!
No. More often than not, the user comes out extremely burnt or bordering on orange. Plus, that amount of concentrated UV light is basically the equivalent of your skin cells holding up a sign that says 'cancer or bust'.
No dont use dry oil for tanning, outdoor tanning for some time is a better idea. I am an asian, my color used to be so white that my pals used to call me a snowy vampire with black hair. I apply a thin layer of olive oil after my bath. Olive oil makes the skin more colorful. Do not try tanning beds,… or direct tanning in the sun. After prolonged exposure to direct sun heat, my skin gets burnt orange instead of the normal tan, moreover it damages the texure and increases the wrinkles. Use a UV protection cream of SPF 45 to avoid blemishes & wrinkles. Instead of dry oil, try using olive oil, now I look drastically olive. (MORE)
Yes. Though using a tanning bed is the choice, I feel that not everyone is willing to look toward the long term effects of using a one. Negative effects may not be noticeable the day after, but may take place twenty years down the road. When tanning beds came out in the 1980's, my mom used them beca…use it was no big deal. A couple years ago, nearly twenty years after, she had a malignant mole removed. Now my mom wasn't a person who sat in a tanning bed every single day. She only used one every once in a while, but from that came dangerous results. I speak from experience when I say that teens don't think about all of their actions. In the case of tanning bed restriction, I believe that no one can be stopped from using a tanning bed permanently, but they can be educated on the negative effects. A compromise could be not completely restricting the use of tanning beds to teens, but making a reduction in the time allowed to spend in a tanning bed. Coming to a compromise isn't a permanent solution to this problem, but it is a start. (MORE)
on a reg tann bed sperm can go up ur fanny and u can get pregnant lol
Tilt your head back to expose your neck. Make sure you use a goodtanning lotion so that your neck doesn't burn as easily and only dothis for a few minutes in each tanning session and you can turn into Jeff.
no lol you have a better chance of getting it from natural sun burn and it takes many exposures
Try not to. Especially if using PIO. It has been known to cause sensitivity to light. Which means you might get a really bad burn even if you've only tanned for a little while.
You don't necessarily have to use a tanning lotion, however many will highly recommend it. Tanning lotions help you to get a darker color faster, plus if you go in a tanning bed with dry skin, 60% of the rays are bouncing off of you, so that's money wasted. On top of that tanning lotions have a lot …of vitamins and minerals that help prevent fine lines and wrinkles. (MORE)
One can use any lotion they want in a tanning bed including Banana Boat Dark Tanning Oil. It is recommended for the safety and prevention of skin cancer to use a lotion designed for tanning beds that have a high concentration of SPF.
Yes, tanning beds use UV light because it is the only frequency of light that makes our skin cells produce melanin, darkening our skin and giving it various hues.
Yes, but be very careful because tanning can dry out a piercing. A sunburn would put stress on your skin & slow the healing ofyour piercing. Your skin will be distracted from healing yourpiercing because it is trying to recover from the sunburn asquickly as possible. A sunburn on the actual piercin…g itself wouldcause even more trauma to an already injured area. If you simply cannot live without tanning, cover the area aroundthe piercing. You'll also need to be absolutely sure that you won'tend up burned after your session, so you may want to reduce yourstay in the bed just to be safe. (MORE)
not use tanning beds as much, they have an equal chance to give you sun cancer as tanning in real daylight

It is not recommended that you use an outdoor tanning lotion in a tanning bed. Several reasons apply. First of all, a lot of outdoor tanning lotions contain oils which can damage acrylics. Second, indoor tanning lotions are specifically designed to put the vitamins and minerals depleted during sun e…xposure back into your skin, an effort to prevent pre-mature aging and other less than beautiful side effects of tanning. Finally, in order to get optimal results from tanning in a controlled environment than you need to use something designed to quickly activate melanin production - intensifying your ability to tan in a rapid session. Some tanning lotions, most of the Designer Skin line, are designed for use indoors and outdoors. This would be the way to go if you are looking for a lotion that you can use successfully in both settings. (MORE)

This really depends on your skin type. If you are just getting started and generally hard to tan then you should start with a basic accelerator like Australian Gold Dark Tanning Accelerator to get the tanning process boosted and prevent any staining or streaking. Once you have established a good bas…e then you can move up to the bronzing lotions. However, if you are an intermediate to advanced tanner then starting with a bronzing lotion is the best way to get dark fast! These products are specifically designed to increase your skins ability to tan and the results are far darker then tanning without them. (MORE)
