Is the Canon Rebel XSi or the Canon Rebel XTi a better camera?

Canon Rebel XSi - for sure. It is newer than Canon Rebel XTi and has 12 MP while XTi has 10 MP. Plus the XSi has live view, like a point and shoot camera you can use the LCD to take pictures. =================== I personally like the Canon 50D more than xsi or xti

Will the price of canon Xti drop when the Xsi is released?

Around 450USD

Which Canon digital camera body should you buy in order to use old lenses from a Digital Rebel XTI?

Any Canon camera with the EF-S lens system will work. That includes but isn't limited to all of the rebels (XT, XtI, XS, XSI, and the new T1I). The only cameras that WON'T work with your Rebel XTI lenses are Canon 1Ds, Canon 1Ds Mark II, Canon 1Ds Mark III, Canon 5d, Canon 5D Mark II. Another other Canon digital camera will do the job. The reason that these won't work is because they are full-frame cameras, which need a larger surface area of the lens and will not accept the mount from the smaller EF-S lenses. These cameras are all professional cameras and cost a couple thousand each.

Which model of Canon cameras is the most popular?

for slr prob the rebel xti or rebel but they are kinda costly xsi

What mounting is on the canon eos rebel?

The Canon EOS Rebel, Rebel XT, and XTi are EF-S mount. They will accept EF-S and EF mount lenses.

Will a canon speedlite 420ex flash work on a rebel XTI camera?

Yes, but with some limitations. The Canon 480EG was designed as a TTL flash (through the lens metering) but also has an External Auto metering Mode. It can be used with any camera that has a PC sync connection. Don't use the "Shoe Cord E" that comes with the flash unless you are using a Film Camera with TTL flash metering. It can be used with Digital cameras provided you use a PC sync cord to connect the flash to the camera. Use the camera in manual mode and match the settings that you want to use with the flash.

How do you retrieve pictures from a canon eos rebel xti if no camera card was in?

If you insert the USB cord directly into the camera, and open the CANON software which comes with the camera it should be able to find the pictures.

Will a Nikon sb-800 flash through the lens work on a canon rebel xti camera?

Actually no they won't. I don't konw alot about canon cameras. but one thing I do know is that it prabably won't work. Just get a Canon flash or a Sigma flash.

Do Canon Rebel Xsi lenses fit the Rebel XTi?

the T70 uses an FD lense, which cannot be fitted onto the new range of canon digital SLR cameras which use EF and EF-1 lenses

Can the Vivitar 728AF be used safely with the Canon Rebel xti?

Safely, yes, because it does not exceed 6V. Because the Vivitar 728AF is TTL-based and the Canon Rebel xti, being a digital body, is not TTL-compatible, but E-TTL, the Vivitar can only be used manually. It will fire, but there is no feedback from the camera to the flash unit. If you are willing to evaluate and reshoot every time, you can use this flash unit, but expect no more.
