Yes, it IS possible for you to do this, you see, my friend did this (her gap wasn't huge) she took a small rubber band, roped it around a few times so it was tight and she could feel the pulling, then she left it for a few night and it did go away. She started treating the gap like a retainer and only put the rubber band on at night. (Note: she did use new rubber bands, no worries.) Then she was sure that the gap wouldn't come back, so she stopped wearing the rubber band and it worked for her. There is a very small gap but it was small, and a lot of people have a very small gap. It looks just as if she had braces.
But, remember that this was a some what painful procedure so she did have sore gums (you also get sore gums from having braces close your gap) but it was well worth it to her, and I'll admit. It worked!
I recommend you do this at nights mostly, or if your just having a weekend by yourself you should wear the rubber band all the time. If you have a huge gap, this may take quite a while. But it worked for my friend Sarah so it should work for you!

∙ 8y agoI purchased teeth effects a month ago. Now the gap is completely gone I can't stop smiling I feel like a new person. I used to wear braces for the same problem, but I tell you, teeth effects work better and I recommend them to everyone.
I bought those bands. They work ur teeths get kinda weak but then they get together it took like 3 months for mines for me to get results but theres a problems.. i close the gap but once i stop using it for a week i started seein my gap again...
so i think it depends on how ur gap is that u might get good results if ur teeth or ur gap is in ur front teeth and they like coming out . u know like bugs bunny ur gap will not close
well this stuff really hurts my teeth, but it works...even when i go to sleep with it on...i wake up in pain...it really hurts...BUT its cheap...and pain IS BEAUTY :)
I am currently using teeth effect bands. For the first few days they hurt. Which is expect because my friends always told me there teeth hurt a wire was changed when wearing braces. Anyways, I've been wearing the bands for 2 weeks now and my gap is closed. I still wear them a few hours a day to make sure my gap doesn't reopen.

∙ 13y agoyes, you could but it would cut open the circulation you have between your teeth and you will have to keep them on at least for a month or two but if i were you i wouldn't i would have right dental care or the right bands for your teeth from braces or clear-bands maybe even retainers anyway you should take my advice
DO NOT PUT RUBBER-BANDS ON YOUR TEETH LOL.! :))

∙ 13y agoGaps are closed with braces in a controlled manner, even if you are successful in closing the gap most likely you will open space somewhere else.

I was looking for some cheap and invisible way to close my teeth gap. I found out that Teeth effect bands are the quickest and cheapest way to close teeth gap and they are clear bands. Yes, teeth effect bands from teethgap.com can be used to close your gap without going to the dentist. That "teeth effects" stuff sounds like a gimmick. I doubt if it will be able to close teeth gaps. I went to their website and it doesn't look like it can be trusted. They don't even have a phone number. Actually, the teeth gap is not a gimmick and it does work. I had a kind-of small gap and I used the bands. After three weeks, the gap was almost completely gone. I HIGHLY recommend this. I've used the teeth makeover bands, and they worked for me *shrugs* Worth a try. They're cheaper than teeth effect bands and their site is more professional. Invisalign takes about 4 months and it is Cheap around $20
