Yes, the GSM version of the iPhone is useable on the T-Mobile network, but it must first be unlocked. If you bring an At&t iPhone to a T-Mobile store, they will unlock it, and give you a proper sim card for it.

∙ 11y agoYes, the iPhone is able to be used on the T-Mobile network, by unlocking. This only works with the GSM (At&t version) version of any iPhone. But, because T-Mobile`s 3G bands are not compatible with the iPhone, you will only get EDGE speeds.

∙ 9y agoNo you cannot. Verizon is CDMA technology while T-Mobile is GSM. They are incompatible networks.
actually you can with the 5 and 5s thanks to LTE Verizon now uses SIM cards for the LTE and the 5 and 5s are factory unlocked anyhow.
