If you are in a strong signal area try a set top indoor antenna. That might be all you need. The powered ones are better.
Does your TV have an analogue mode? If it does, simply tune in the analogue channels as normal, including your Sky on channel 6. If this TV is in the same room as the Sky box, hook it up using a scart lead and switch to AV mode to watch it.
If you have cable or sattlelite hook up at your home, you really do not need a digital converter. If you only are using rabbit ears, you really would need a digital conterter box, so you would be able to watch TV.

A tv has a tuner.A monitor does not.If you have a digital cable box you can hook a monitor up to it and watch tv on it.If your tv has hdmi or vga you can plug it in to your computer and use it as a monitor.
