If you are having a period, you probably aren't pregnant. And a heavy period isn't a sign of pregnancy, but a light period can be.
My sister's period came on with each of her 3 children, and it wasn't spotting either. I'm not sure why yours is heavy, but for sure women can receive a normal period and still be pregnant. Be sure to check with your OB/GYN. Good Luck.

If you are pregnant, it is probably not going to be your period. It is more than likely implantation bleeding caused by the fertilized egg to attach itself to the uterine wall. Or it could be a cervical change that can cause vaginal bleeding. Another cause for bleeding during pregnancy is a miscarriage although the first two reasons for bleeding are more common, it is still a good idea to contact your doctor as soon as you can.
Yes. You may be miscarrying or threatening miscarrying. If the fertilized egg does not implant correctly or make a tight seal you may have a pocket of blood called a sub chorionic bleed. This usually causes irritation and expelling of the embryo. Most of the time, your ovaries make sufficient progesterone to offset the cramps & relax the uterus to not expel it. Your doctor may check your progesterone levels and a Bhcg every 2 days to determine the outlook of the pregnancy. Alternatively, you may just be having a late period and were never pregnant.
No. The body doesn't know you are trying to get pregnant when you start menstruating. There is nothing that would do that. If you are pregnant and have a early miscarriage you would bleed more.
Yes you can its very likely so it doesnt mean that your not pregnant but ask your doctor.
No matter what size you are you aren't supposed to have a period when you are pregnant. This is true but you can have your period and still have health baby
no because if your pregnant the lining will stay

It could be a symptom of pregnancy but you do not have normal periods that are heavy flow during pregnancy. You can experience light bleeding but not heavy. Do a test.
There is a definite chance that any woman can get pregnant during her periods. Though the chances of pregnancy during periods are low, they exist for all women. The truth is that there is no predictable time during the month when the risk of pregnancy can be said to be absent.
yeah it's the whole point of having ur periods almost
It is unlikely - take a test anyway
A extra heavy flow during pregnancy is a likely indication of a miscarriage. See your doctor ASAP or go to the ER now.
true!!
No. Two normal heavy periods and no symptoms of pregnancy sound like your definitely not pregnant.
No, see a doctor immediately
The body will take in less water to conserve water during periods of heavy sweating.
vaginal discharge can vary in colour, thickness and amount during pregnancy. if you have any concerns see your doctor
no not normally, although periods during pregnancy does happen.
It is unlikely but not impossible to get pregnant while you're having your period. Just like every woman is different, so are her hormonal balances and hence her menstrual cycle. Though there are generalities on which some ground basics of menstruation and pregnancy can be formed, eventually it all boils down to individual physiology. So, yes, you can get pregnant during your periods. There is a definite chance that any woman can get pregnant during her periods. Though the chances of pregnancy during periods are usually low during periods, they exist for all women. During periods, the chances of pregnancy are comparatively lower at the onset of a woman's period and increase just after her periods. The truth is that there is no predictable time during the month when the risk of pregnancy can be said to be absent.
