spray wd40 on all electrics inc inside distributor cap plugs and ht leads , if no luck get a tin of cold start and spray directly into engone intake , check also foe water in fuel if damp this usually works
Car won't start after washing the engine? Obvious answer is that you got the electrics wet, which is never a good idea. Will require a good dry-out, and possibly application of water displacing oil such as WD40 around the battery terminals, HT leads, distributor, etc etc. Just don't do it again. You don't hose down electrical equipment in your house as well, do you?
Probably got some water in the distributor.
Go look and see what you unhooked while under the hood or under the car, retrace the steps you did.
i have a 2005 Pontiac that shows up on my car computer that says eletronic throttle, then it stalhs shut down the hesitate and wont start at times .whats wrong how do you repair this?
sounds like pluged catalitic converter or egr valve
that sounds like your starter motor isn't working, which would explain why there is no noise when you try to restart it
Dead battery and/or alternator.
What have you welded ?
vacuum leak.
call the guys on car talk.
Check your fuel filter and pressure.
It wont restart by jump starting it, what do we do

Defective alternator.
sounds like pluged catalitic converter or egr valve
car wont stay crank after a jump stays crank for a min then dies
a mechanic told me it could be the neutral security switch on the clutch if it is a straight drive
no the car wont start because the battery is dead, it was discharged by running it and not being recarged by the alt
To give more info, the car surges before it dies. I can actually keep the car running if I tap the accelerator when I feel it surge. The car also dies at idle. I don't know if this is related or not, but the car easily overheats even with new coolant and thermostat.
Same thing happend to my 87 camaro it was the ignition coil, When it heats up the car wont restart until it completely cools. I went to my local pick a part found the part and replaced it myself for 8 bucks good luck
Open a bit more the screw that regulates fuel input into the carburator.
