Catalyst efficency threshold low?

My '96 Chevy Cavalier Z24 had this same code pop up into the cars computer. I took it to a place to have the code pulled. I then called a repair shop and asked them what the code ment, and was told it could be one or all of the following problems.

1. fuel system(ie. fuel pump, fuel filter...depends on what the car is doing) 2. oxygen sensor 3. catalytic converter

All that the code "Catalyst efficency threshold low" means is that something is starting to plug up in the exhaust system. Try taking your car/truck to a well known and well trusted mechanic and have them tell you more as to what is wrong. Some places have better equiptment than others.....believe me...I know this one....been there...done that one.
