wrong bulbs or bad earth
2 things could be the problem. If the "Brake" light is on that usually comes on when you set the parking brake then it could be the brake fluid is low. Check that. If it is the "Brake Lamp" light then check your brake lights. 1 of them could be out.
fault brake light switch, located at the top of the brake pedal.
Do you mean What does it mean when the brake and battery lights come on in when it is already started? Check your alternator may be its not working well it cause the battery sign comes out.
replace the relay under the hood Also check brake lights switch had the same problem switched bulbs and worked fine
Check if the male and female plugs are snapped into place tightly. And check if the lights or fuse is burnt out.
The brake indicator light tests continuity to your brake lights and activates if continuity is broken. This means one of the bulbs is out or there is a problem in the wiring to the lights. The light also comes on when you start your car and stays on for a few seconds along with the flashing "check" signal on your dash. If you wait or push the check button above your rear view mirror the lights should go out. If the brake indicator light doesnt go out check your brake lights and make repairs if necessary. The light should function correctly after the bulb is replaced or wiring is repaired. If not you may have a malfunction in your active check control system wich is behind the panel of lights above your mirror.
Anytime the check engine light or brake light comes on you should have it checked for safety reasons.
ADD BRAKE FLUID
I'm not sure about the dash lights, but the when the Brake Lamp comes on, it means that one of the tail lights needs replacing. Simply visually check each light to see if it lights up. There is no need to check fuses.
Short in wires or wired incorrectly.
