I'm an atheist, but just pretending that god is real, i'd say it's because he must have wanted companionship, or else he wanted to spread consciousness and intelligence beyond himself. as for god duplicating himself, you have kind of re-phrased the question "can god create a stone so heavy He can't lift it?"

The only way to find out is to die, Well! thats pretty convient for religions all over the world, especially if it turns out that its all A hoax. Don't forget that if you are the worst person in history like hitler for example, You can ask for forgiveness in the last five minutes and ALL is forgiven.(((WOW!!!)))),,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, If I had time equal to A number that covered A million pages in fine print, Well, I think I may be pretty close to perfect too.</P>
