There are mulitple journals available that research social behaviors. You might want to focus you search on phrases i.e. "group dynamics," "opressed groups and behaviors," "criminal behavior and incarceration," "prison and society," etc. Try the Journal of the American Psychiatric Association, and the web site for the National Institute of Health (NIH), the United States Department of Corrections or Bureau of Prisions.
