Christianity has made significant contributions to society. For instance, most of the subject matter of Renaissance art was Christian themed. Also, many, many books, movies, and pieces of music reference Christian ideas or imagery.
Jesus told his disciples to:
Mat 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
A disciple is a person who has been taught or trained in some way (in this case about Christianity) so disciples should be making disciples (encouraging, building up, teaching others). You can do this through meeting, socialising with other Christians in church.
The Bible uses the analogies of Christians being a 'body', living stones', a 'spiritual house' so a Christian must play a part in the lives of other Christians. A toe cannot be an individual it is part of the foot, part of the leg etc.
In these verses Paul talks about the 'body':
1Co 12:25 ....................the members should have the same care for one another.
1Co 12:26 And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.
1Co 12:27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.
Other verses:
1Th 5:14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all.
Heb 3:13 but exhort one another daily, while it is called "TODAY," lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
The Bible also talks about Christians contributing financially to the work of the Church.
You could say the work of Christians is to "save the lost and build up the saved".
Do what ever you can, contribute where you can, don't be a pew sitter!
I'm assuming you are talking about charitable giving.
THE AMERICAN "A Nation of Givers" 3/08 noted that religious people are viewed as being more charitable.
Americans give an average of $1000 per year with 1/3 going to house of worship.
The U.S. is considered to be the most giving society.
Born in the first century A.D., Christianity since then has influenced humanity, human history and culture a lot. Its impact as a religion seems to have hitherto been the best and deepest, thereby it remains unique. The Roamn Empire was Christianized by the early saints including Peter and the emperors like Augustus and Constantine, the Byzantine Empire by Justinian and medieval Europe by Charlemagne. The saints and monks by rendering service to the people of Europe throught the ages won over the minds of the people. It was again because of the degradation of the Church, the Protestant Reformation Movement as was organised from time to time by Wycliffe, Martin Luther, and Calvin swept the whole northern Europe and the Counter Reformation kept the southern part of the continent loyal to the Church. Christendom was the creation of Christianity.
Christian Church by setting up colleges and universities in Europe paved the path of common men's learning. Having set up infirmaries and hospitals, the Church really served the ailing people in different countries. Along with colonial expansion, the Churchmen sailed across the seas and oceans and did the best of their jobs in educatiing millions in the colonies. Christianity, though once stood against Copernican Revolution and the scientific concept of evolution, yet, there is no denying that because of the contribution of the Church, afterwards science education spread in different parts of the globe.
He is the basis of he religion.
No. Christianity was a religion that was created after Jesus' death. Jesus was a Jew.
His best prophecy was telling the people 700 years before the birth of Christ that Jesus would be born to save the world. He also spoke of Jesus trial.
the greatest contribution of the Spaniards to the Philippines is Christianity
Christianity came about after the life and death of Jesus Christ. It can therefore be said that Jesus was the founder of Christianity.
Jesus
Jesus was resurrected (raised from the dead and in Heaven) when Christianity began. Christianity began with Jewish apostles who believed that Jesus was the Messiah.
If Jesus Christ had not died on the cross or not have been resurrected there would be no Christianity. Jesus Christ is Christianity. Christ ---ianity.
Jesus did'nt develop Christianity. His followers did, after his death.
There would still be Christianity even if Jesus had not died on the cross. There was still Christianity BEFORE Jesus was crucified. Jesus died on the cross for our sins.
the dome. Rome's key contribution was its support and encouragement of Christianity.
it affect the actions of Christianity of jesus crise
Christianity is the worship of Jesus Christ. Development of Christianity would have started with the disciples when they become aware and believed that Jesus was the Son of God.
