Cops and robbers gum fleer corp pinto pete?

Answer:
Set of 35 cops and robbers gum issued in 1935. Pinto Pete is number 3 in the set that features 7 cops and 28 "robbers" all fiction. Humorous issue that came with an evidence tab on top of cards ,glued to that were 3 sticks of gum.
These evidence tabs could be redeemed for a badge, hence it's hard to find FULL tab cards as little ones tore off the tabs to return for badge. The exact date of issue is not known but grading companies normally label cards 1935.
The American card catalog number assigned to this set is R-36
The set features 5 colors for each card. Green, Red,Orange,Sepia/brown and Purple. None of the colors is harder to collect than the others. Most collectors attempt to put this set together in varied colors as collecting in 1 color takes a long time.
There is a new discovery of a 6th color called "rust" for its appearance in 2008 by collectors Jeff Shepperd & Charlie Hubbard.
There are no special or premium cards in set besides the #1 and #35 (first and last) that carry a small premium as all FIRST and LAST cards in gum sets do.
Cards in midgrade go for about 20.00 on average.
Hope this helps.
