Yes. The ark was an unusually large ship. This statement "And there are literally millions of land animal species in the world. " by the above author is not true. There are about 21,100 land species in the world. The ark was plenty big enough to hold them all with room left over.

The dimensions were:
length 300 cubits
breadth 50 cubits
height 30 cubits
and the ship was 3 stories tall.
A cubit is 18 inches. So, to put the dimensions into modern measurements we would have
450 feet long (that is 150 feet longer than a football field!)
75 feet wide
45 feet tall
That gives a volume of 1,518,750 feet^3.
That gives plenty of room for all of the non-water dwelling animals to be on board with sufficient food for all and even room left over for many other people to be on board as well.

The average size of an animal is that of a sheep so only about 36% of the ark was used for animals if the figure of 50,000 is used. However, was probably more like 16,000 animals that were present on the ark. That would only be 12% of the ark used for animals. If the ark was totally full then it would hold 138,888 animals.
Baby animals that would grow up to populate the world after the flood were more likely what was on board the ark.
The global flood of Noah's day points to the judgement of God on evil men. As the world was destroyed in the past by a flood because of man's wickedness so too it could be destroyed in the future because of man's wickedness.

∙ 8y agoNo. Even if we ignored the need for exercise space and for the storage of food, the Noah's Ark specified in The Bible could not have carried even a fraction of all the species in the world. Nature estimates there are about 8.7 million eukaryotic species on earth, so even if we assume plant species could somehow survive without the Ark, that still leaves millions of land-based animal species.
For example, there are actually four species of elephant - Borneo pygmy, Asian, African Savannah and African Forest (excluding various subspecies, which in practice would need to have been allowed for). Each elephant would require around 1,000 cubic feet just to stand semi-comatose at a feeding trough, so just two of each would require a total of 8,000 cubic feet of space if they could be held immobile like this for up to one year. And there are literally millions of land animal species in the world.
By the early years of the Common Era, Jewish religious leaders were concerned that the Ark was clearly not big enough to hold all the species that were by now known. A Jewish midrash from this time attempts to explain away these problems by claiming that a miracle made the limited amount of space enough for all of them. This says that Noah fashioned the Ark large in order to minimise the reliance upon a miracle, for it is the way of all of the miracles that man must do what he is capable of and the rest will be accomplished by the hand of heaven.

∙ 8y agoHad God wanted to, they could have fit in a suitcase. The Creator of all has no difficulty in bringing about such a phenomenon, through "natural" or miraculous means. For example, tradition states that the Ark of the Covenant took up zero physical space in the Holy of Holies (Talmud, Yoma 21a).
