Crank position sensor....back of motor in a tight spot , under intake towards the drivers side and to the left of oil filter....

Car starts then wont for awhile? The car only starts once in awhile what could it be it works for a few days then doesn't start could it be a sensor? My 97 thunderbird won't start sometimes we wait awhile and it starts what causes that?
