Yes, you certianly could be pregnant. Around 6-12 after concieving you might have what is called implantation bleeding, which is when the embryo implants into the uterus causing slight bleeding that is usually lighter, shorter, and discolored.

I will never forget the day I was walking around Walmart with the worst cramps ever to grab a box of tampons that I thought I so desperately needed. Every time I thought I was about to start. A couple spots and then nothing. BTW. When its brown, that means that its.old blood and your not going to be bleeding anymore. For about the first 3 months of my pregnancy it was the same thing around the time of my period. A couple of spots and nothing else. You'll know for sure if in a week or so you start getting nauseous out of no where and find yourself running to the bathroom thinking " where the hell did that come from" when deep down inside you know.. omg I'm pregnant! yes. I had light brown spotting when my period was due and I was pregnant!Normally it is considered implantaion bleeding. Brown blood, is old blood so it is normally fine.
