Most definately, there is a strong corelation with individuals having left arm pain and those also experiencing a heart attack (Myocardial Infarction). Although it is uncommon for this to be the only sign, and more common in males than females. Obviously chest pain is the best tell tale sign and typically would be a feeling of heaviness and or pressure. Unexplained perfuse sweating, nausea and vommiting I find to be other symptoms that are more frequent. In any of these situations one should immediately stop any physical activities and rest. If the pain and or symptoms don't go away within a few minutes seek medical attention immediately as the majority of treatments for any Heart Attack are time sensitive and the longer you delay will result in more Muscle Death. The majority of the "clot buster" drugs can only be given within the first 2-3hrs. in some places so don't gamble with your health and blame it on indigestion if your unsure go to the closest ER.
