Well the chances of having an ectopic pregnancy is .25% which is less then 1% which would make it almost completely uncommon for a 2nd pregnancy to be ectopic, but that percent is possible, especially if you have previous....ectopic pregnancy. But its a low percent.

Yes, this is called a heterotopic pregnancy. It is extremely rare, on the order of 1 in 30,000 to 50,000 pregnancies. On the other hand, heterotopic pregnancies are more common in those with assisted reproduction, up to 1 in 1000 pregnancies.

Yes it is possible, because say for example, you had an ectopic pregnancy in one fallopian tube, then you could still have a pregnancy in the uterus or another ectopic pregnancy in the other fallopian tube or somewhere else because the other fallopian tube is still carrying the egg down to the uterus.

I could have had a miscarriage but I had my cervix surgically closed until it was time to have my baby.

Today you took a pregnancy test it was negative im on day 37 of your cycle im usually 29 day cycle what do you do next can this be an ectopic pregnancy?

If it was an ectopic pregnancy, you would still show positive on a pregnancy test. Do you have any other pregnancy symptoms? I would not consider pregnancy unless you feel you may be pregnant from some other sign.

If last prgnancy ectopic week before positive pregnancy test can abnormal period could mean pregnant athough two pregnancy test negative?

The abnormal period is the result of the Etopic pregnancy. After a miscarriage or Etopic pregnancy your menstrual cycle may be effected for the next few periods. If your next period is unusual, see your doctor about some tests to rule out a hormonal imbalance.

Can implantation bleeding occur if it is an ectopic pregnancy?

No Apparently they will raise slightly or even decrease every 48 hours. (e.g Hcg level 2000 could become 1800 in 48 hours in an ectopic)Whereas in a viable interuterine pregnancy the HcG levels will about double in 48 hours. This alone is not used for diagnoses a vaginal scan will also help to identify any mass in the tube. This will be to rule out a miscarriage also.

Is there such thing as a painless ectopic pregnancy?

I had an ectopic pregnancy and had no pain just mild discomfort (like gas) on the opposite side as the ectopic. I did have red blood spotting but only first thing in the morning they did HCG tests and my levels were not quite doubling so sent me in for a early ultrasound could not find anything with the abdominal one so did a trans vaginal one and found the baby with heartbeat in my left tube right next to my ovary. The baby measured 8wks 2 days. I was admitted and had emergency surgery to terminate the pregnancy and lost my left tube. When they went in they found that I was already bleeding internally but tube had not completely ruptured. So yes it is quite possible to have an ectopic with no pain but from what I have heard it is quite rare. While in the emergency room they keep asking me about pain every five minutes and seemed very surprised that I did not want pain medication.

Are you at risk if your last pregnancy was ectopic should you be nervous?

Hi, I have had a previous ectopic and currently want to try for another baby, this is some of the information which was given to me."Previous ectopic - about 10-20% of those attempting pregnancy after one ectopic will have another.""The risk of another ectopic depends on several factors, in particular the type of surgery that has taken place, the presence of any damage to the other tube and whether there were any difficulties conceiving first time around. Studies that compare removing the tube (salpingectomy) with opening it at the time of surgery and removing the pregnancy (salpingostomy) have found that when the other factors above have been controlled for, the risk of repeat ectopic is about 9% if the tube is removed and 12% if the tube is left behind. There is no difference in outcome whether the operation was an open one or key-hole surgery was used (laparoscopy), but recovery is certainly quicker with the key-hole option.s mentioned above, after having an ectopic pregnancy, a woman is at risk of it happening again (though it is more likely that the next pregnancy will be in the right place)."So I would say be cautious and discuss it with your Dr or Midwife before you try to get pregnant again, they will probably offer you early scanning to try and avert any problems early on in the pregnancy.Good Luck

Could you be pregnant if you get headaches and feel thumps in your abdomen but pregnancy test tested negative could you be pregnant you also had a period last month very unusual?

This could be a sign of pregnancy, It would be classed as a very early pregnancy and it would be best to wait until you are next due for your period and if you don't come on and your test is still negative then it is recommended to go to your g.p

Is it possible to have a 5 month ectopic pregnancy?

Hello Yes, I am afraid that there is - I have just been through this. I had a 'normal' first 11 weeks of pregnancy with no bleeding or stomach pains - I did have sickness but I thought this was normal pregnancy morning sickness. At 10.5 weeks I suddenly got some bleeding (light) and stomach pains like period pains. I had a scan 2 days later and they discovered - after some investigation - that it was ectopic although I had not had the typical symptoms. I had a laproscopy when I was excately 11 weeks. I don't think my story is typical but it can happen. Julie L. Oxford.

What are the odds of a pregnancy being ectopic after tubal ligation?

i am not sure about the odds but i had my tubes done a year and a half ago and today i found out i was pregnant too early to see if it in my tubes should out next week i thought i couldn't get pregnant but it can happen

You are 13 weeks pregnant but keep thinking something is wrong IS THIS NORMAL?

Some women do experience their periods during pregnancy. You should bring this up next time you meet with your OB/GYN. Because of this, it can make it difficult to detect possible signs of a miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy.

Could you still be pregnant if your period is 2 weeks late but it comes and is not normal?

Yes, you could be. Take a pregnancy test. If the pregnancy test is negative and then your next period doesn't arrive or is abnormal, go and see the doctor
