When I was 8-10yrs (1966) I remember seeing a "tobacco pipe" this however with the critical nature many define the Civil War, could have been edited out. For reasons as a witness, I'm sure there to be many today that believe similarly. My Father during his time aboard ship (NAVY) lost his teeth an some postion for smoking cigarettes for twenty year (retired pension). The point is ... many Police today recognize this inside of "gang related behavior" an I noticed it with my Father for the 50yrs of my personal life. His behavior memiced the behavior of "chain smokers" an this is a testamony of my experience. Abe Lincoln would attempt to conceal prior smoking as to conclude "he eventually quite".

"Highly unlikely; he was too smart to do such a thing. <<<<< Implying smoking weed is stupid.

Hemp was used for rope and clothes, not smoking."

^Wrong.^ Abraham Lincoln smoked hemp, as did George Washington.

"Two of my favorite things are sitting on my front porch smoking a pipe of sweet hemp, and playing my Hohner harmonica." - Abraham Lincoln

"Make the most of the Indian hemp seed, sow it everywhere." -George Washington

Edit : Abraha Lincoln Did smoke weed, so as Jules Verne the great Sci-Fi writer that wrote about many things and machines that were invented a century later.. somewhy I don't see it surprizing, weed is wisdom and intelligence beyond for me.. and those great men knew about that too, perhaps this is the reason it is being rejected by the governments.

No, I think not. He likely tried it and did not like it. I do not think he was opposed to smoking.
