Not only did Elizabeth Taylor win an Oscar, but she won two Academy Awards for Best Actress: the first one in 1960, for her amazing performance in "Butterfield 8"; and the second one for her leading role in "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" in 1966.
In addition, Elizabeth Taylor won several other honors and awards, including the following:
- The Jean Herscholt Humanitarian Academy Award in 1992, for her work fighting AIDS.
- In 1999, Taylor was appointed "Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire."
