Did George Washington Carver invent peanut butter because he had too many peanuts to eat?

Answer:
George Washington carver did not invent peanut butter. He only released a book with 300 uses for it and claimed to have invented it. Even all uses listed in his book were previously used. Even the Aztecs made peanut butter.

Peanut butter was since invented many times over, even years before George Washington Carver claimed to do so, by a man named Marcellus Gilmore Edson, who received a patent. George Washington Carver would have been only around 20 at the time. It is a common mistake for people to falsely believe George Washington Carver invented peanut butter, it's one of those lies that get spread enough for long enough, because common mis-fact.
