Multiple Myeloma is cancer of the plasma cells in the bone marrow that create tumors on the solid part of the bone. The tumors prevent the body from producing red and white blood cells and platelets, causing anemia and immunodeficiency. Many people fighting this disease end up dying of infections secondary to the cancer.
