Basically,, In 1605 Guy Fawkes set up a huge plot with many other people (go on www.guyfawkesplot.co.uk/peopleintheplan to find out who) and they set up a fire. Guy Fawkes WAS the leader unlike what people say about his team mate. Guy Fawkes wasn't actually called Guy Fawkes. His real name was Gary Hawkes but they called him Guy Fawkes because of 'TheGreatSignature'. The Great Signature was a piece of paper which was signed by Fawkes but got torn. It said... G y awkes. So people made his name Guy Fawkes. This was in 1601. Guy Fawkes set up the plot. Does this help? Hope so... :)
yes, key, wakes, awake, was, say, keg, guess, gaf, safe, wuss,
you cannot really say that because no one knows if it was a conspiracy. but i think it is his signature
I dont think so....surely if he did then when i looked up this question it would say, and i learnt this in history and i heard nothing of guy forks' family...
Because a member of his team wrote a letter to the king to say that not to come to wherever they were going to blow up the king & Guy Falkes got caught & faild
It is a phrase used by children on Guy Fawkes night, November 5th in Britain. In the same that children may say "Trick or treat" when collecting things on Halloween, "Penny for the Guy" is used as a way of asking for money when bringing around an effigy of Guy Fawkes. They would make something like a scarecrow and then wheel him around on a wheelbarrow or trolley or pram or by some other means, and go collecting money.
Caesar argued persuasively against the death penalty for the conspirators, proposing life imprisonment instead. A speech by Cato proved decisive and the conspirators were executed. !
Robert Catesby was the leader of the gun powder plot. Many people say that Guido Fawkes (Guy fawkes) was the leader but he was hired to light the fuse by Robert Catesby and his followers. If you want more information on the gunpowder plot of 1605, take a look at the link below:
Guy is spelled the same in French, and pronounced 'Gee'.
If you mean the name "Guy", then "casa de Guy", but if you mean "guy" as in a man, then "casa de tío".
Firecrackers - or Fireworks as they are called in England are set off on November 5th each year. This is to commemorate the anniversary of the failed attempt by Guido Fawkes and his accomplices to blow up the Houses of Parliament in London, along with it's members of that parliament and the Monarchy. The conspirators aimed to do this dastardly deed using gunpowder - and it is with gunpowder that fireworks are made. A 'Guy' - a lifesize model of Guido (Guy) Fawkes is usually placed on top of a bonfire and ceremoniously burned to death. About two weeks before 'Bonfire Night' as it is called, kids make their Guys out of old clothes (some using their fathers' not so old clothes I might say!) and wheel around these Guys begging for "Penny for the Guy". All monies we trust are spent on fireworks and not on ten number 6 and a box of matches!
yes. unless you say it like francisca, then its girls name.
