It was claimed in a biography that he had something to do with Stuart Sutcliffe's injuries that led to his death and that he'd fatally injured a British sailor whilst the Beatles were in Hamburg.
There is zero evidence for either claim; although Lennon did admit that the band did try mugging a sailor during their Hamburg years, but didn't carry it through.
