yeah, I believe that it was a John Lee Hooker original. I've heard that ZZ Top and Hooker are friends even and that they didn't steal the song but that it was taught to them.... I have an mp3 copy of the song. VERY good, but I haven't yet found a CD or vinyl copy. Still looking.

∙ 16y agoAs Far as I know they haven't recoded a version on any studio or live albums. There may be a bootleg going around from a show where they slipped it into the set.
The best that I can offer is that Big Head Todd and the Monsters did a version which sounds a lot like ZZ top. You can hear it on their site in the music section. was on the album Beautiful world. track 11.
