i am hoping no..but i would like to have an answer.
National Parks are owned by the people of the United States. A treaty was signed in 1972 with the United Nations as a regulatory move to protect these lands. If the US Government does not manage the Parks according to the terms of the treaty, the UN has the power to step in and supercede the government.
Because...let's face it...these areas don't belong to just Americans - they are natural treasures of the WORLD. The treaty was ratified under the Nixon administration.
