There has been alot of speculation that Desi cheated on Lucy, but the only time that it was proven was right before "I Love Lucy" began. It has been recorded that Lucy and Desi were separated for much of the first decade of their marriage, due to his travels, alcohol abuse, and outside marital affairs. Lucy wanted to save their marriage, so they created the "I Love Lucy" pilot, hoping that the studio would be impressed and turn the pilot into a series. Lucy wanted to work side by side with Desi to keep him busy, hoping he wouldn't have time for other women, but also to keep track of him. They were set to get a divorce but reconciled right before the series began. Desi however did not change his ways and right after the last lucy-desi comedy hour "Lucy Meets the Moustache" was filmed Lucy filed for divorce.

I've done quite a bit of research and I'd like to say that Arnaz did not cheat on Lucy but it's It's hard to know for whether or not this is true. No details about his extramarital affairs have been confirmed. But if he did, it most likely wasn't anyone famous.

In 1954, one of the first tabloid's at the time (ironically called Confidential) published a story that painted Arnaz as a womanizer. People probably assumed that being a womanizer meant he was definitely cheating on his wife. Mostly likely, the magazine was just taking advantage of Desi's rambunctious nature and the couple's fragile relationship in order to sell more magazines. Eventually the magazine was sued by everyone under the sun and was forced to discontinue because almost all of the stories it printed were false and or slanderous.

No, this is a myth published in Sheila Graham's column. While staying in a hotel, Desi had to go out for business, and Lucille was tired. So, she locked the door for safety, and went to sleep. Desi came back, and found the door was locked. So, he pounded on the door for her to hear him, and shouted "Lucy" to wake up her. A maid saw this, and told Sheila Graham that Lucille Ball locks Desi out of their rooms and they shout and abuse each other.
