Krypton was a red sun planet, as was Daxam, which spawned Mon-el. Daxam may be an anagram (or Jumble) of Adam-X Try it! Superman is vulnerable to red suns and his powers do not work on Red Sun planets!

If you're referring to the theatrical live action films, twice. First time in Superman:the movie, which is his origin story. You actually see krypton for almost half an hour in the film, with Marlon Brando as Jor-el. There's a small flashback in Superman 2, but it's just the same as what you saw in Superman 1. And then it's referenced as a plot point in Superman Returns, as Superman disappears to investigate the remain of Krypton. Zack Snyder is planning to present the story of Krypton with the planet being shown as heavily populated cities. It is supposed to include the life of Kal-El from infancy on to when he is a young adult named Clark Kent working as a journalist. This is supposed to explain why he wants to become Superman after realizing he can help people by using his powers. It will be redone in a modern way and not completely remake what was already seen in the 1978 film.

Well my favourite hero is Batman because he is cool but I have to admit Superman could use his freeze breath, lazer eyes, super speed or super strength and kill batman in a second. Now if batman had some kryptonite that would be another story as super man is a native of planet krypton and all natives of krypton are harmed by kryptonite. But yes in a fight, super man would easily win.
