Yes, the US helped nearly all "free world" nations during the cold war. The US supplied them with tanks, planes, artillery, shells, infantry gear, etc. Just never "direct involvement" as that would've caused the USSR to do the same to the nations they were supporting. Which of course would've caused a direct confrontation between the US & the USSR. Which is what the whole "cold war" was about...avoiding nuclear war.

However, when war broke out, the United States State Department not only declared that it would maintain a neutral stance, but President Johnson imposed an arms embargo on Israel. The only way that the United States positively contributed to Israel winning the war is that the United States was able to get the Arabs to sit down and sign an armistice to end the conflict. United States Aid and military connection to Israel improved only after the Six Day War.
