Difference between Software Engineering and Engineering?

The definition of engineering is applying science to a problem.

Software engineering is using software to solve a problem, i.e. applying the science of making a software to solve a problem such as making a program or game.

Engineering is just solving any problem using science. I.e. i want to look round a corner, mirrors reflect light (science fact). I will use a mirror to look round the corner.
