Difference between the movie and play versions of Macbeth?

Answer:
Both are set in the middle ages and Macbeth is a warrior chieftain bucking for higher rank. the script is straight from Shakespeare. On the other hand the title character has been made up to ( particulairly in the Dagger of the Mind scene) to look like Charles Manson and the three Witches are more sexy than Shakespeare ever intended. still takes place in dark ages, but with Polanski at the helm- some side glances at the horrific Manson Murders. The phrase Dagger of the Mind- could very well be applied to, let us use Polanski"s accent- Droggs!
