Windows Vista has several Editions like
1_Vista Home Basic,
2_Vista Home Premium,
3_Vista Ultimate and some business editions too(I dunno about them).

But at the same time Microsoft has launched some new improvements in the form of 1_Service Pack1 OR
2_Service Pack 2. These are versions.
