Canon IS cameras are compact digital cameras with very limited features. The Canon HS line has numerous features for more advanced photography. The HS has a higher resolution screen, a faster shoot time, can record high-speed movies, and has a GPS.
Canon ink cartridges are designed for Canon printers, which are to print pictures taken on a Canon Camera or device. A canon ink cartridge on a normal printer may not fir properly into the compartment, and may affect the printer as a whole. I would stick to regular ink for a regular printer. The canon ink is high quality which may be too high for a standard printer.
