Cognos 8 Report Studio is a report creation application that allows users to create full featured reports.
Report Studio is a subset of the Cognos Report Net Application which supports the enterprise wide Reporting environment which includes data sources, data models, security, the ad hoc query application "Query Studio", and other components required for reporting.
The "Query Studio" application is more appropriate for simpler, ad hoc user reports.
