Ashley's answer is correct, 3 to 4 million total deaths by the hands of the sick and twisted Nazi regime.

See the Auschwitz museum site for clarification where it was estimated 3 million but now revised to 1.1 to 1.3 Million so it isn't 6 million but 3.7 million according to the authority - the actual museum records and statement.
