look everyone limewire is not illegal? i have asked many people. this is why it is not illegal. it is not illegal because as long as you dont sell the music theres nothing rong with it. look that song was paid for you are simply sharing it nothing says your going to keep it forever. it is just like renting a cd from the libary and riping it to your computer. so nobody has any thing to worie about it not illegal im i lawer i now.

Going after the people who download music is wrong. Law makers need to go after the companies that allow it to happen. If it is illegal to share copyrighted music then we need to sue the people who created Cassette recorders, CD & DVD burners.
Everyone has and still copies CD's from a friend so that they don't have to spend the money. So where does it begin and where does it stop? The music industry and law makers need to get their heads out of their behind, stop this nonsense of suing people sharing music and mandate and regulate the companies such as Limewire to ensure that no one can download or upload copyrighted material without charging people for it.

Damn I wish I was a Lawyer...

"LIMEWIRE IS ILLEGAL! Although with Limewire you will probably never get caught," Why will you never get caught?

Everyone has Limewire, thank god i didn't go in for it!!
Um, excuse me, but didn't the article clearly say that DOWNLOADING SONGS FROM LIMEWIRE (THAT ARE OTHERWISE PAID FOR) is illegal??
Look, if you can't read the article thoroughly then don't go posting comments!!! And besides, ranting about record companies isn't gonna do anything about the legal/illegal problem.
And, hello, earth to you, but which site is gonna offer you free downloads that are legal ?? Do you think any artist would waste the time of their day giving away free songs when they can make money?? It's sad and all but it's not like we can convince the artists to give away free songs!!

What the problem with ripping artists off?
The record companies are the real losers-they give artists a pathetic amount for their album sales. And what about the poor artists-get a life- everyone knows artists make the real money on tours hence charging a criminal amount for a 2 hour show! These artists are making millions every year and relocate so they won't have to pay taxes in the very country that they were born into, the country that provided them with a launch pad. Bono for example-relocated -pays f..uck all taxes and has the cheek to charge fans eighty euro each to seem him at Croke park, Dublin-and than he has the balls to talk about world debt-fu..cking sap. How ridiculous....you a have to be rich to avoid paying taxes-the working class don't earn enough to legally dodge taxes does if they attempt to do so they gat prosecuted and put in jail.Any artists who aren't trying to dominate the world or are just starting should love programs like limewire-look at all the bands born out of the internet-Artic monkeys for example. Now they're reeling the real money in thru tours accross the world. These website act has a free promoting tool-most people will not pay for bands they have not heard before-thus this is a fantastic way to enable potential fans --to become fans and buy their concert tickets. And as for the fines-200 dollars is nothing when you have a few thousand songs. And what about all does one hit wonder bands-they produce one amazing single and the rest of their produce is absolute rubbish-limewire enables you to get the cream of the crop. Im sick of all this whinging and bitching. The real losers are the record labels -i.e. scumbags-do you know their profit margins when signing new bands? I;m sick and tired of those media sound bites....What about the artists?...The "genuine, struggling" artists- behind these pathetic pleas....."don't rob my music"....are the record companies. They come up with "clever" (if you're as special as fukin' christmas), emotional pleas to guilt trip people into paying outlandish prices for the music they love. How much does it cost to produce a c.d.....50c and then the baastards stick a 20-30 dollar price tag on it. If these emotional arguements cause you to start paying for downloading songs then you are a fuuucking sap and deserve to be ripped off.

ryt go no http://www.mp3shits.com/ (it's mp3s hits in case you were wondering) , that's quite a good syt to get stuff from. there are littetrally millions of syts like that one u can download music illegally and as far as I know you won't get caught. after you go on that syt it will give you plenty of links so search around and you are more likely to find the song that you wont only sometimes people give out the wrong filenames. Limewire is a great thing if only it was legal- I know at least 5 cases of people getting charged at least a grand for having it so screw that don't use it. Think about it only takes a bit more searching but at least you won't get caught.
Dis shud b very helpfull - tell me what all of yall think OK.
