Was Muhammad a pedophile?

Note that when the apologists say the prophet married her when she was 19 he had already been dead a year.

Also the excuse that he wasnt a peadophile because many religions and cultures such as Jews and Christians had had similar marriages in that time is pathetic

I'm a christian i know Joseph married Mary aged 11 - 14. That makes him a peodophile. As does someone who allows a 9 year old to play with dolls one minute then have sex with her to consumate his marrage the next.

To question if Muhammad PBUH had ever lived or not. Well, it's the free will of each person to believe in Him as a prophet or not but it's illogical to question His existence at all since this would be a denial to a history, a complete history!!!

As it's said that hadith about Aisha's age at marrige is not authentic. About anyone who uses it as a justification for the marrige of little girls, i could say that any religion is innocent from the faults of its followers as it doesn't teach such faults. Priests were arrested for their sexual abuse of children, would i accuse Christianity of teaching such crimes? sure NOT. The same is applied regarding any belief.

Now,is the concept of " age of marriage" recognised in the Islamic teachings? SURE.

Examples:

* Children reaching "the age of marriage" in Noble Verse 4:6.

* Female-children becoming fataaya (young ladies) become ready to be "wed" (4:25).

* In a hadith for the prophet Muhammad PBUH advicing the youth to marry. He PBUH started his saying with calling them " O young grown-ups ..."

So, Islam NEVER calls or teaches child marriage or pedophilia.If anyone commits that then it's their sin not Islam's.

The argument that Jews also practiced pedophilia is a red herring. They may very well have done that, or they may not. Even if all Jews were pedophiles, this would not have made Muhammad any less pedophile. The question was "Was Muhammad a pedophile". It was not "Was Muhammad the only pedophile".

This reveals a part of Allah's unlimited wisdom behind that marriage considering the fact that Aisha is one of the greatest Muslim scholars, narrated many hadiths of the prophet Muhammad PBUH & taught the Muslims a lot about their religion.

*. Surely, an objection to such young marrige can only be shown if some harm was caused by it. All evidences point to the opposite since it was a very happy marriage.

*. Muhammad PBUH had lived with too fierce enemies of Islam. Never had any of them call Him a pedophile,simply because He was NOT.Else, would they miss such a chance to attack Him?!! Again, this is a very RECENT LAME accusation.

*. Lastly,the orientalist W.Montogmery Watt wrote:

2. It is allowed in Islam to marry a girl who is at the age of puberty. So I am asking you, how could you solve your problems in your life with that young girl? Women Sahabis asked Hz. Aisha and she answered them, since they couldn't ask their personal questions directly to prophet Muhammad PBUH.

3. Think about all the wives of prophet Muhammad PBUH and you will see that some of them were widows, and all of them were from different tribes and in different ages and in different situations. So Prophet Muhammad pbuh shew how to live with different kind of women and this was an order from Allah and these were some wisdoms behind this scene, otherwise what is the necessity for a 53 year old man in marrying that many women?

The prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h)had in his life time married women who were widow's. Child marriages in that era was a common practice not only by Arabs, but by Jews,Indians and parts of Africa as well.

Therefore to hold Muhammad up to be the the perfect moral example to live by and then refuse to acknowledge the harm done by him is dishonest.
