if at any time your turtle seems to be acting abnormally, the best thing to do is to bring him or her to a herp vet. They would know better what the problem is and how to rectify it if possible. Also red ear sliders need an area to bask Preferably 90 degrees (10 degrees higher than the water in your tank. If the turtle is stressed, the water to cold, he or she will not eat as well. I have 5 red ear sliders ranging in ages, they tend to be very active. when I first brought them home, I gave them dried shrimp (Wardley turtle delight) then gradually introduced floating pellets, blood worms, live comets and guppies and red and green leaf lettuce.

Answer

u most likely got your baby red eared slider from illegal marketing(unfortunantely people sell them in the street, making them illegal because of high chance of disease)baby turtles can easily be stressed. You can try feeding it different things, some may not eat turtle floating pellets. try feeding it black or blood worms, brine shrimp, guppies,or dried krill all sold at most petstores.they should also have access to land and sunlight because turtles sun bathe.I hope this helps u
