- I have been on lamictal for 8 months and all of a sudden a rash appeared and spread all over.It gets worse each day.
- I was told the same thing that it is rare to get it for being on it for awhile. I don't believe it is rare cause I read alot of stories.I am in the process write now of going to the dermatologist tomorrow.I am told to stop the medicine
- cold turkey and now I am really scared because I am sensitive and I can't handle the side effects. The doctor is going to try to put me on something else that will help
- for side effects. How is everyone doing now from the rash
- they experienced before did it get better and how did you do on stopping lamictal. Thank You

- I have had a red sun burn rash that developed suddenly after been on Lamictal for one year. Full body red skin, hot and tender like a sunburn. Since I have been on Lamictal for one year, my doctor did not quite believe that it was the Lamictal, but 2 biopis were negative for fungus, etc and indicated:"consisten with adverse drug reaction". So now off Lamictal, for just one day now.
- Help! Anybody else have any similar experience??
- Thanks

- I developed a lamictal rash after taking 25mg for 2 weeks. Overnight, I had large nickel to quarer-size flat red spots from head to toe. The itching was sporatic and my lips swelled and became numb. I also had nausea, a brief blackout and facial tingling. Went to the ER and was given Benedryl, prednisone and zantac in IV. Now on continuing dose of oral prednisone for one week but my rash seems to be getting worse.
