Discussion on 'What evidence supports the existence of God?'

- Here is a question that was asked - and answered - by the same individual. It isn't the first time the boards have seen this, but there is an emerging trend. Particularly in this area of the boards.
- There appears to be a group of Christians hell bent on insuring their views are represented by use of strategy and tactics that include things not in the best spirit of the boards. There are examples.
- Members post questions like: "Did you know evolution is a made up story and is not proven but the Bible is?"
- Come on.
- I have had at least one of my posts "edited" because an individual had a problem with my (opposing) view, or with the (valid) literary tools I chose to use in presenting it. (I have made errors here. Mia culpa. But not in that case.) And I have noticed the use of a sharp instrument on other (non-Christian) posts dealing with this subject matter. Perhaps I should post something about the first answer like this: [Scroll down for the REAL answer.] There is at least one other post where a theological question was answered by someone who had a valid non-Christian point and then had a Christian answer posted beneath theirs. (The non-Christian post was first.) Later, another Christian came along and posted as the lead item something like: [Scroll down for the Christian answer.] It’s the old superposition trick.
- Here we have a post and answer that were tailored for each other. Tailored by the same individual. I chose to post a "disclaimer" at the head of my answer alerting the "casual reader" to something that may not be in the spirit of the boards but is definitely a fact. And a fact that is most assuredly less than obvious. My posting of this information insures the reader will be alerted to the fact reported and won't have to ask, "Gosh, was this question posted by someone who has an agenda here and then came along and answered his own question? Should I go look and see if that was the case?" I've done this reader a favor and saved him the trouble. I’m looking out for him. As is asked of anyone who posts here. It’s in the best spirit of the boards.
- Certainly anyone can post a question. Supervisors have a requirement to post some questions to actually become Supervisors. And we can answer our own questions. Now we're here doing this. Posting and answering this question can be interpreted by the thinking person familiar with the facts in only one way: the individual posting the Q&A is deliberately using the boards as a forum for the dissemination of his own Christian message.
- Are the boards deteriorating? De-evolving into something unworthy? Let me know if they are and I’ll step off now.
