My car was hit in a parking lot and there are no witnesses and the other car took off. I turned this into my allstate insurance and was told during my initial claim that there would be no deductible. THen within 24 hours I received a phone call/follow up and again, confirmation no ded since it would be either under comprehensive which I have no deductible and or it is uninsurned motorist. But then They made me an appt to take my car to be photographed by an Allstate Claim's office and there I was told I had a 500 dollar deductible and it would be covered under collision.

Now I am confused. Someone please help me out before I drop my car off to be repaired.

I mean what if I had an older car and only carried liability and comp? I'd be screwed right?
