The Zionists have a powerful western backing, essentially from the US, while the Palestinians are in a much weaker position. Zionist plans are contrary to all advanced political thought. The land they have taken from the Palestinians is being ethnicly purged and illicitly occupied by a religious group that has no intention of establishing a modern democratic lay state which defends religious liberty. They are provoking a continued state of war and ethnic cleansing in the region. Hatred is no answer, of course, but neither is provocation.
