Why do you have to pay tax on casino winnings when you are likely going to put it all back into the casino and then some?

For those that are from those countries with a treaty regarding this (it is an income tax, not a casino winning tax by the way...the US does not have a casino winning tax)....you can get the withheld tax back very easily yourself by just filing the forms available at www.IRS.gov

Depending on what country you reside in you may be eligible for a refund on your casino winnings. Residents of Canada, Austria, Finland, Germany, United Kingdom and many others that are not from the states, can use refund management services that will help them get back their 30% in casino winnings tax. One such service that I have used in Toronto is www.refundmanagement.com they made it easy, and were very informative.
