This is a gud question. You need not to prepare fron your first year itself. The GATE committe will publish the syllabus on their web-sites before 2 months starting of GATE exam. You can either borrow bookr from your friends or from library. The questions will be asked related to your subjects that you studied in 4 yrs of your study (ECE).
