Do's and don't's for lawn's?

Sometimes it's good to over turn your grass and lay manure and grass seed down, then lay wooden sticks going in rows across your lawn with string connected to wooden sticks, then place tin foil on the string that's to keep the bird from eating the seeds. Water the lawn but not too much and you should get pretty green in no time.
